Congratulations to Chris Wiederecht and Stefan Tziolis who today were named to the Connecticut Post’s All Star team. Further congratulations to Coach Schare who was named Coach of the Year! Well done!
Open Team Finishes in 7th Place!

Congratulations to all on the outstanding performances at the Open! Staples finished in 7th out of 94 CIAC swimming and diving teams. Highlights include:
Christopher Wiederecht**: 4th 100 Butterfly, 8th 500 Freestyle
Stefan Tziolis: 17th 100 Butterfly, 16th 100 Backstroke
Jeff Helt: 15th 100 Backstroke
Medley Relay 7th (Tziolis, Lally, Wiederecht, Helt)
200 Freestyle Relay 19th (Lally, Mombello, Pulvino, C. Bacon)
400 Freestyle Ralay 7th (Wiederecht, Pulvino, Helt, C. Bacon)
** Chris also broke a school record in the 100 Fly set back in 1984 and his time of 51.24 qualified for All American consideration.

Zach Slater competed in the State Open diving meet last night at Yale. He finished 12th scoring 365.05 points. Way to go Zach!

Congratulations to Zach Slater who finished 8th at LL Diving last night scoring 314.85 points. Zach also qualified for the State Open Diving Open Championship next Wednesday at Yale. Well done Zach!
